‘Open Roads’ is the brand new single from Torquay bred, London based quartet, Coral Palms. A follow-up to their debut single Echoes, these guys are certainly worth keeping an eye (and an ear) on. “Labelled” as an indie pop/rock act, the band chose the latter on their latest release. It’s a fuzzy and edgy guitar riff that sparks the flame of ‘Open Roads,’ and before you know it you’re head-bobbing and toe-tapping to the infectious and energetic tune. With that classic European indie rock sound, the Two Door Cinema Club and Foals inspiration shines through brightly. ‘Open Roads,’ a reference to the many trips the band takes between London and their spiritual home of Torquay, is super catchy, irresistibly lively and full of vibrancy. Melodic and tight, the track explores themes like escapism, freedom and uncertainty.
When the world returns to normal and large festivals are back on the menu, the high energy and tightness of Coral Palms will be bringing the house down on warm summer nights.

What does ‘Open Roads’ mean to you?
Literally, it’s based on the frequent journey between our spiritual home of Torquay, Devon and London. In a more metaphorical sense it’s about freedom, future, hopes, dreams and fears.
Please finish the sentence, “Music to me us is….”
Music to us is a form of expression and identity that makes the world make sense. Without it, our lives, or anything in them, would not feel so complete.
