For those who follow our chart, ALESSANDRO CIMINATA needs no introduction. We’ve been fans since the very first single “Demons”. Since then he reached the top spot numerous times. We watch him grow and experiment with his sound.
Today we are going back to where it all began. “Lovers” is an emotional song that has all the distractions stripped down. It’s just Alessandro’s haunting voice and the piano.
Lovers, produced by long-term producer Jack Gourlay in his North-East London studio, it?s beautifully simple. Striking piano chords accompanying Ciminata?s unique deep vocal tone.

Tell us about the inspiration behind the song
I?ve wasted so much time thinking about how to do things properly. Sometimes, it?s so much easier to put our brain on ?mute? mode and start listening to our hearts instead. Getting lost in someone else?s eyes for 10 seconds in the middle of nowhere is so much better than trying to organize the perfect date.
It’s a song that was born from a happy accident. It wasn’t meant to be single but more of an acoustic version of the EP 1.
What made you release the single on Wednesday instead of a New Music Friday?
I think nowadays artists can release music whenever the internet broke all the boundaries.
You’ve been hinting about EP for a while. When can we expect it?
Yes, you’re right. Got a debut EP coming out on March 11th.
What you got planned for the rest of 2020?
EP release and a headline show at The Grace. It’s gonna be a very special show so don’t miss it.
