In February 2017, Indie Top 39 was born in an effort to support independent artists and make a more significant difference to those who were doing it for themselves. At the end of the day what was really bringing the value was the conversations we were having with the artists directly, not the PR person, not the manager, not the label.
We can only be truly successful if we are helping each other.
So imagine if there was a community that supports one another not just by posting content but by actually being there for one another. Worldwide. A community of passionate people who want to make it happen not just for themselves, but for each other.
In the last few years, the platform has not only changed from being a solo project run by our founder Dov Zavado but has grown its own community of volunteers and dedicated fans. It is becoming a place for the most avid music lovers who just don’t have time to find those new music gems (we do that for you!) to the hard-working independent artist who might be looking for inspiration, advice, support or a place to share their music.
Today, the response to the playlists and interviews we make under Indie Top 39 has been incredible and it’s safe to say it’s filled us with optimism for what’s to come. In 2020 we will be directing our efforts into making this a strong community where artists are supporting one another, collaborating and growing together. We are building a plethora of resources and initiatives for artists and listeners alike and plan to keep growing!
